The best caliber is 30-30 and 17 HMR. I will always remember my favorite hunt of all, unfortunately, turned out to be the last for my dad, Russ, and me. My friends and I like the 30-30 best for deer hunting.
The best shooting caliber would have to be a 17 HMR. I got my Remington 30-30 online at Cabelas. I got my Remington 17 HMR at the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Eveleth. For deer hunting I like a handy Claro walnut stocked Remington Model 7600 for hunting under 200 yards.
