There is a new edition of my new Marlin 1894C with the laminated birch chambered in 7 mm Magnum and 270 Weatherby magnum. My second favorite caliber for all around shooting is the 7 mm Magnum caliber. My friends and I like the 7 mm Magnum best for deer hunting. My dad got his rifle at a garage sale and learned how to work on Marlin single actions.
