My best friends' favorite caliber is 257 Roberts but I will shoot any caliber in a pinch. My favorite rifle is my new Winchester Model 70 with the checkered birchwood chambered in 6mm - 06 and 257 Roberts.
I like the the 6mm - 06 best for deer hunting. One thing I don't like with most 257 Roberts calibers is that you can't buy factory ammunition. Our favorite rifle is the 257 Roberts I picked up online at the NRA store.
I used to like a handy checkered birchwood stocked Winchester Model 70 for hunting under 200 yards. My grandfather bought it at the local gunshop in Bootjack on the installment plan for $800. I got my Winchester 257 Roberts at the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Bootjack.
The best all around caliber I own is probably the 257 Roberts from Bass Pro Shops in Bootjack. I will always remember my favorite hunt this year was in Bootjack, we got a place to stay from my friend Scott.
