Ruger Frontier 22 Magnum Review
Gerry English - Tanaina, Minnesota

Rodrigo got his Ruger last fall at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Atkinson. I bought the rifle at a gun pawn shop in Atkinson that went out of business years ago. The best shooting caliber for the average hunter I would say the 300 Win Mag for best caliber and the 22 Magnum for the best cartridge.

One thing I don't like with the Ruger 22 Magnum is that it can't be reloaded until all the magazine rounds have been expended. My second favorite caliber here in Alaska for the all game is the 300 Win Mag. I used to like the Burris 2.75 Scope better on my Ruger Frontier, and I'd be willing to bet that it's a bit more robust than the Leupold.

My all-time favorite hunt would have to be the first time I ever hunted the woods around Atkinson. There is a new edition of my new Ruger Frontier with the walnut chambered in 22 Magnum and 300 Win Mag. My favorite rifle is everything made by Ruger.
